Sarah Trone Garriott has always felt called to serve. She joined AmeriCorps right out of college to help domestic violence victims, served as a hospital chaplain, and became a Lutheran pastor to provide faith leadership to those in her community. That same call to serve is what inspired her to run for the Iowa legislature.
- Determined to counteract the neglect the GOP-controlled legislature has inflicted on schools, clean water, quality accessible health care, economic opportunity, and civil rights
- Passionate about providing affordable child care, raising stagnant wages, and helping families make ends meet
- As a nonprofit leader and community member, Sarah knows real change can happen if the state government works collaboratively with others
