Luisa Wakeman

As a first-time candidate in 2018, Luisa Wakeman came within 800 votes of flipping her district – she’s running again in 2020 to finish the job. Luisa strongly believes that now is the time to stand up for her community, vote out divisive politicians, and fight for the future of Georgia.

  • Flight attendant who went back to school to get a second job as a cardiac intensive care nurse
  • Active volunteer in her community – serves as a Girl Scout leader and frequently volunteers in classrooms and around her neighborhood
  • Relentless fighter for women’s reproductive rights, will protect a women’s right to consult and make decisions with her doctor

As the political cycle progresses, the page will be constantly updated to highlight critical new races across the nation, and bring national attention to the strong, progressive candidates who are on the frontlines of the fight. See our past victories.
