Jennifer Kakert is a small business owner and CFO with over 30 years of experience working in finance and accounting. She’s doing her part to give her community a prosperous and equitable future. After years as an engaged volunteer and board member for several nonprofits, Jennifer is turning to public service to flip her seat blue and deliver balanced solutions in the state House.
- Devoted to stronger public education funding and school safety, affordable and accessible health care, and cultivating Iowa’s local economies
- Serves as the vice-chair for Scott County Kids–Early Childhood Iowa, the treasurer for Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities, and is a member of the Downtown Davenport Partnership Board of Directors
- Believes that the biggest investment Iowa can make is in its people and communities, which is what Jennifer will do so that they can all grow together to make Scott County a great place to live and work
