Hala Ayala

Delegate Hala Ayala decided to run in District 51 in 2017 to advocate for working families and women. As one of the only 17 female delegates elected to serve in Virginia – and one of the first Latina women in the state House – she is proud to represent women in her district and in the state, and looks forward to continuing her work in 2019.

  • Served as founder and former president of Prince William chapter of the National Organization for Women
  • Worked for 17 years as a cybersecurity specialist with the US Department of Homeland Security
  • Helped organize Virginia for the Women’s March on Washington by coordinating buses and raising money
