George Barker moved to Virginia over 40 years ago with the desire to be an active member of his community. First elected to the State Senate in 2007, Barker serves as the executive director of the Greater Prince William County Health Center in addition to representing district 39 in the Senate. The Washington Post has described Barker as “one of the more effective, pragmatic lawmakers in Richmond.” George hopes to continue using his passion for health care, education, and transportation to make his community a better place.
