First elected to the Missouri House in 2016, Doug Beck has been an outspoken advocate and problem solver who always puts his community’s needs first. Doug is now running to continue standing up for the interests of working families in the state Senate. As a 34-year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562, Doug is determined to continue representing the interests of working-class Missourians and fighting for the rights of workers in the capitol.
- Worked to expand early childhood education and increase opportunities in STEM as a member of the Affton school board, including two years as its president
- Serves as the ranking minority member of the Economic Development and Workforce Development committees, where he works to attract quality employers and jobs to the state
- Fighting to reverse drastic GOP-led cuts to public education, protect seniors and veterans, and pass commonsense gun reform
